Volunteer Job Description Crisis Call Volunteers: i) The volunteer will receive direction and support from the Volunteer Coordinator. ii) The volunteer responds to a crisis situation (i.e. calls to the scene) and provides: iii) The volunteer submits a written report the day of the occurence. iv) Volunteers will attend on-going training sessions and 8 out of 10 monthly volunteer meetings. v) Volunteers must be responsible for their time commitment. Volunteers are recruited from within the community and understand the particular needs of the area. A comprehensive screening process and ongoing training ensures that victims are assisted with dignity, respect, compassion and empathy. Training sessions for victim service providers are held two times a year -- once in the spring and once in the fall. All applications are accepted at any time of the year and kept on file. |
