And such other complimentary purposes not inconsistent with the objectives.
What Is The Role of Victim Services
Victim Services provides immediate emotional and practical assistance to all victims of crime and tragic circumstance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout Eastern Algoma District.
Victim Services is not a counseling service or a phone distress line. Trained Crisis Responders provide emotional support and practical help to those victimized by crime and tragedy.
Our primary goal is to help immediately, 24 hours a day, right at the time of the crisis and then act as a bridge to other community services which can provide long term support.
Assistance is provided free of charge by trained Crisis Responders in cooperation with local police, fire and hospitals.
